Your sign is the first thing people judge

A sign is doing work every hour your doors are open and every hour they are not. Drivers on Airline Highway decide whether a business is worth stopping for in about two seconds, and a faded, crooked or half-lit sign answers that question the wrong way. A clean, well-lit, readable one keeps earning long after it is paid for.

We have been building signs in LaPlace for nearly four decades, which means we have watched our own work weather a Louisiana climate that is genuinely hard on signage. Sun fades cheap vinyl, humidity finds its way into poorly sealed cabinets, and hurricane season tests every mount. We build for that, not for a catalog photo.

What we build

Storefront & commercial signs

Cabinet signs, panel and monument faces, post and pylon signs, and building signage sized to be legible from the road at the speed people actually drive.

Banners

Heavy vinyl banners with hemmed edges and grommets for grand openings, sales, festivals, sponsorships and job sites. Fast turnaround when a date is coming up.

Dimensional lettering

Cut acrylic, PVC and metal letters mounted flush or on standoffs, plus cut-vinyl lettering for windows, doors and hours-of-operation panels.

LED & neon

Illuminated channel letters, lit cabinets, classic neon and LED neon-style tubing. Bright enough to pull traffic after dark, efficient enough not to punish your power bill.

Yard & site signs

Coroplast yard signs, real estate and contractor signs, safety and directional signage, parking and ADA-style placards.

Interior signage

Lobby and reception logos, room identification, menu boards, wayfinding and window graphics that match the exterior branding.

Installation and repair

We install what we build, and we repair signs we did not. If your cabinet has a cracked face, a dead ballast, a burned-out LED section or a panel that took wind damage, call before you replace the whole thing. Often the structure is fine and only the face or the lighting needs work, which is a fraction of the cost of a new sign. We also handle re-facing when a business changes hands or rebrands, reusing the existing cabinet and mount.

Why businesses here call Tony's

  • Free estimates within 24 hours. Describe the sign or send a photo of the storefront and we get a number back to you the next business day.
  • Warranties up to 5 years on signs and materials, from a shop that will still be here to honor them.
  • Design help included. If you do not have a logo or artwork, we will design something readable at 45 miles an hour instead of something that only looks good on a laptop screen.
  • In-house fabrication. We cut, print and build here, so your timeline is not hostage to another vendor's queue.
  • One shop for the whole look. Sign, truck lettering and staff shirts all matching, ordered from one place.

We work throughout the River Parishes and beyond, with regular installs in Reserve, Destrehan, Norco, Luling and Boutte, and jobs running out to Kenner, Metairie, New Orleans, Gonzales and Baton Rouge.

A word about permits

Exterior signage is regulated, and requirements differ between St. John the Baptist Parish, St. Charles Parish and neighboring jurisdictions, with additional rules if you lease in a shopping center. Size limits, height limits, setbacks and illumination rules all come into play. We have been through this process many times and will tell you early if your idea is going to hit a restriction, which is far cheaper than finding out after fabrication.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom sign cost?

It depends on size, materials, whether it is illuminated, and how it mounts. A vinyl banner is an inexpensive same-week item; a lit cabinet sign on a pole is a project. That is why estimates are free, and why we quote from your actual location rather than a generic price list.

How long until my sign is up?

Banners and vinyl lettering are often ready in a few days. Fabricated and illuminated signs take longer, usually a few weeks, and permitting can add time depending on the parish. We give you a realistic date at quote, not an optimistic one.

Can you fix a sign someone else made?

Yes. Repairs, re-faces and relamping are a regular part of our work. Send a photo of the sign and a description of what is wrong and we can usually tell you over the phone whether it is a repair or a replacement.

Do you handle the permit?

We help. We know what the local jurisdictions typically require and will prepare drawings and specifications for the application. Final approval always rests with the parish or municipality.
